JEC World is the only global trade show dedicated to composite materials and applications. Taking place in Paris, JEC World is the industry’s leading annual event, hosting all the major players in a spirit of innovation, business and networking. JEC World has become a celebration of composites and a “think tank” featuring hundreds of product launches, awards ceremonies, competitions, conferences, live demonstrations and networking opportunities. All these features unite to make JEC World a global festival for business, discovery and inspiration.

Project partners NextMove and RAI Automotive Industry NL are involved in a ClusterXchange group exchange. For this RAI Automotive Industry NL have collaborated with cooperation partner and also cluster organisation CompositesNL. So together, RAI Automotive Industry NL and CompositesNL were present at the JEC in Paris together with 14 of their members as co-exhibitors. This was a great opportunity for the clusters and their members to get to know each other.

   

The trade fair is great for SMEs to discover new business opportunities. On the first day of the event, the companies also had the possibility to meet the general director of the JEC World.

NextMove has provided to CompositesNL and its members the opportunity to gain an insight into how the cluster is structured, which projects they have initiated and how they are developing them. Furthermore, they presented which business areas and technologies are processed within NextMove and which services the cluster offers its members to further develop their products and technologies and improve their hard- and soft skills. Since a total of four cluster members of NextMove were represented as exhibitors, RAI Automotive Industry NL and its members also had the opportunity to exchange and network with other French SMEs and to experience the innovations of the cluster members.
