NextMove is a Gold Label cluster organization dedicated to Automotive and Mobility industry since March 2006. NextMove drives innovation in this industry and fosters the funding of R&I projects and collaborative business between its +600 members, contributing to the development of companies in Normandy and the Greater Paris area, where 70% of France’s automotive R&D is performed, and the reinforcement of international competitiveness of French businesses on the continent and overseas. Their objective: Build the “Mobility Valley”, a European and International reference of innovative and responsible mobility for the future.
The REMOBILISE project will provide clusters-missions to facilitate networking and peer-to-peer learning among European clusters, as well as business interaction between cluster members including those keen on approaching new markets.
The goal of this activity will be to learn about local cluster ecosystem and tools, meet relevant representatives and establish practical bonds. A training session aimed at the development of strategic cluster management skills will also be provided.

Day 2
9.30: Site visit of a research centre: VEDECOM (Versailles)
– French Institute of public/private Research and Training dedicated to sustainable mobility: ecological, automated and shared. Our vocation is to be a centre of excellence primarily focused on industrial and/or services development through the pooling and strengthening of public and private research capabilities. It covers the entire innovation process up to demonstration and industrial prototyping. VEDECOM’s R&D and innovation activities are based on three main areas: electrification, automated and connected vehicles, new mobility solutions and shared energy.

10.30: Meeting with an innovative start-up: EP Tender (Trappes).
– EP Tender is a very innovative startup working on the development of a range extender service for electric vehicles through an innovative concept of range extender in a trailer available for rent and allowing the power supply of the vehicle during the trip.

14.00: Site visit of a big group: FEV (Trappes)
– FEV specializes in engine engineering and offers powertrain development and calibration services, as well as capital equipment and test bed engineering services. With its advanced automation, simulation and calibration tools, developed in collaboration with major OEMs, FEV is heavily involved in hybrid and electric powertrain design and testing.
