Second mission of REMOBILISE in Porto, Portugal

Between 10th and 12th of May, 2023, the second mission of REMOBILISE took place in the beautiful city of Porto. Consortium partner Mobinov welcomed city representatives and consortium partners from across Europe, to discover the local ecosystem and its economic actors, visit major sites and participate in a training session. The overall aim was to learn about the implementation of innovative mobility solutions for cities in the field of micromobility, active mobility, policy-making, etc.

On the first day, participants had the chance to attend high-level interventions from partners of the ecosystem. The main thematic focus was Future cities and Mobility success stories, with speakers from AVL Iberica, Ubiwhere, and Caetanobus among others. Participants engaged in pitch sessions by Mobinov Cluster members and networking activities, creating valuable collaborative opportunities. They could also participate in a guided site visit of the venue, CEiiA. The day concluded with a networking cocktail dinner to enhance networking and collaboration activities.

On the second day, participants visited some of the most innovative hubs in Portugal. The day started with a visit to INESC Technology and Science – Associate Laboratory in Porto, and was followed by a presentation and tour at Capgemini Engineering, an R&D company in Vila Nova de Gaia. In the late afternoon, participants had the chance to learn about further innovative mobility solutions at the CCG – Centro de Computação Gráfica, a technology and innovation center in Guimarães.

On the third day, the mission concluded with an extensive training session on the topic of Urban Mobility trends and opportunities, delivered by the Porto Business School.
